Perth Electric Tramway Society

About Us

From our workshops in Whiteman Park we restore and operate a fleet of heritage electric trams. We are a volunteer organisation which aims to preserve Perth's tramway history.

Perth Heritage Tramway

Our trams operate between the Village Mall and the Mussel Pool Picnic Area. Our trams also stop at Pia's Place which is the site of a large nature playground and the Village Junction Station which is the site of the Bennett Brook Railway.

Tramcar Hire & Group Bookings

Our tramcar hire service lets you hire a tram. Its perfect for large groups wanting to travel around Whiteman Park, for corporate events or even weddings. For medium sized groups we recommend booking in advance. To book or inquire send us an email at petswa.info@gmail.com.

Tracks By The Swan

Tracks By The Swan is a definitive account of the rise, development and decline of electric street transport in Perth, to an ever-changing backdrop of the city and its people. It traces the social, economic, political, industrial and technical factors influencing the tram and trolley bus systems which served the people of Perth for almost seventy years from 1899.

How To Find Us

Our tramway is located at Whiteman Park, which is located approximately 13 kilometres northeast of Perth.

Volunteer With Us

Our volunteers are the life blood of the Perth Electric Tramway Society. Whether its driving trams, maintaining track, restoring trams or administrative work our volunteers are the reason the trams keep on rolling.

If it's once a week, once a month or even once a year, we would greatly appreciate the help.
