PETS Tramcar Collection

Tramcar Classifications

To indicate the importance of the individual trams to the collection, the following classification has been adopted for the Collection Policy:

Essential

A significant tram in relation to the history of the tramways of Western Australia. Essential to retain in the Collection, or acquire should it become available.

Supplemental

Not essential to illustrate the history of Western Australian tramways. Important to provide operational flexibility, help long term preservation of essential trams, or for comparative purposes.

Reserve

Not essential to illustrate the history of Western Australian tramways. Useful as a source of spare parts, for possible future disposal, or for long term restoration. To retain, or acquire if available, bearing in mind condition and storage requirements.
